What are the grades of anti cutting gloves? In fact, there are actual standards to define the grade of anti cutting gloves in China, which have been stipulated in the national standard GB24541-2009 Specification for Protective Gloves Against Mechanical Hazards. However, domestic manufacturers of cutting resistant gloves still publicize their gloves according to EU regulations, which does not meet the requirements.
No matter the national standard of cutting resistant gloves or the EU regulations, the cutting resistant grade of cutting resistant gloves is divided into five levels. Before purchasing such protective gloves, it is better to know which grade of cutting gloves you need first to avoid buying them blindly.
Specification and anti cutting grade
The more common anti cutting standard for anti cutting gloves is the British EU BS EN388 (equivalent to the Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS 2161.3). The specification covers four types of mechanical risks, namely, abrasion prevention, cutting prevention, tear prevention and puncture prevention. The qualified anti cutting gloves must be marked with the shield logo of the blacksmith hammer image, and the protection level shall be expressed by 1 to 4. The anti cutting rating can reach the highest level of 5.
Sometimes "x" and "0" are also used to indicate inapplicability and lower than "1" respectively. Anti cutting gloves must also comply with the requirements of BS EN420 for general, comfort, efficiency, test procedures, marks and data, such as the penetration of water, the amount of hexavalent chromium released from leather gloves, etc.
